HEIGHT 44 cm. (17 5/16 in.) White marble on modern pink marble pedestal. Fragments missing from the ears; it is likely that several areas of the head have been recut. The nose is largely restored. The iron attachment imbedded in the back of the bust is a modern device meant to secure the object to the back of a niche.
