LUPUS ET CANES
Lupus: Your fur is splendid. You are healthy and well fed. I am braver than you, but I am thin and I am hungry. What do you eat?
Canis: I eat good food because I guard the house of a good master. I do not ask for food because my master and his slaves give me food. I am never hungry.
Lupus: I live in the forest where it often snows and rains. My life is hard and lonely. I want to live in a house.
Canis: Come with me, wolf.
Lupus: Thank you very much.
(The wolf was running with great joy, but suddenly he saw the dog's scaped neck.)
Lupus: Why is your neck scraped?
Canis: During the day I like to go out, but my master puts a chain around my neck and keeps me in a stable. I am free only at night.
Lupus: I thankyou but I love freedom. I do not want to be a king if I am not master of my own life.
